Where everything began… where are we at now…

Lorenzo was born in June 1989 to a humble but supportive family in the heart of Rome. He began his journey in the hospitality world at Cesare Lombroso Hospitality School while supporting himself and gaining valuable world experience at a small café outside the city center. After graduation from hospitality school, he briefly continued developing his expertise in the world of coffee before embarking on a new adventure: the art of mixology. After completing a course with A.I.B.E.S. (Association of Italian Barmen and Supporters), where he met two of his most influential mentors, he decided to bid farewell to the world of cafes and coffee to focus on perfecting his English for this new career move. His international travels through Europe landed him in the bustling metropolis of London, where he devoted time to his studies while picking up shifts here and there at various bars. Six months later, Lorenzo was beckoned back to Rome to hone his bartending skills on the famous Via Veneto. It was during this time that he.

obtained qualification for the national semi-finals of Bacardi Legacy, the national final in

Beefeater MIXLND competition, took home third place in the famous Angelo Zola Competition, and was awarded second place for the best hotel cocktail bar alongside his team at the Time Bar in the Bar Awards.

After these two years in Rome and the accumulation of several more awards, Lorenzo decided it was time to return to unfinished business back in London. Just one month after arriving, he began his monumental adventure at the famous Library Bar at the Lanesborough Hotel in Hyde Park Corner. Once settled into London life, Lorenzo took part in the UK finals for the Diplomatico and Yaguara competitions, then closed the year with a second-place victory in the Angelo Zola. Most exciting, 2017 saw Lorenzo's appointment as the head bartender of the Library Bar, launching his first full menu consisting of unique twists on popular classics. Once again, he will close the year with a second-place win in Angelo Zola.

2018 began with a bang as Lorenzo was one of only 23 bartenders throughout the UK chosen. to get involved with Collective 1887 of WG&S, where he had the chance to study and experience the exclusivity and illuminating detail that the company has to offer promising young bartenders. Shortly after, he was awarded UK Champion of Beluga Signature Cocktail Competition and was flown to Sochi in September to compete in the world final. Just a few weeks later, he won first place in the Dalmore Decadent Digestif Competition and flew to Bilbao for the 50 World's Best Restaurant. Winning his third competition that month, Lorenzo was victorious in the internal Balvenie Competition for 1887 Collective, all while launching a second entire new menu with his team at the Library Bar back in London. The year closed with more exciting international travels, including a takeover of the Library Bar in Paris at Le Bristol, the Athens Bar Show with Beluga, and finally, a first-place victory at Angelo Zola.

Before the year's end, Lorenzo left the Library Bar to take on the head bartender position at the

Promenade Bar in The Dorchester.

2019 was as compelling and eventful as the previous years with exciting work and

additional competitions in New York, Singapore (where Lorenzo will be crowned as

the Best Student at the prestigious I.B.A. Training Centre), Hong Kong, Shanghai, and many others. Still in 2019, Lorenzo decided to start his own consultancy and educational company, Drinks and Dreams, hoping to inspire and share his beloved art with creative bartenders at all levels. Alongside the consulting projects, private training, and many other projects running during this 2019, from September of the same year, Lorenzo was appointed as a Bar Manager to guide the opening of the new concept of Joel Robuchon Le Comptoir Robuchon in Mayfair where every detail of the bar has been curated by Lorenzo and his team.

When COVID-19 hit the world, Lorenzo decided to focus his attention on helping businesses start, reset, and recover from the difficulties of the pandemic, mastering all these details. Lorenzo's support aimed to recognize, minimize, or avoid mistakes during the pandemic.

In July 2021, Lorenzo was in charge of the opening of the London outpost of Sunday in Brooklyn as Bar Manager. After this super successful opening, in April 2022, Lorenzo has been appointed as F&B Manager of Mezcalito London, leading the development and the expansion of the popular Mexican Bar and Restaurants. At the end of 2022, Lorenzo joined the Pelican Hill. resort in Newport Coast, California, and in 2023, he has been appointed as Resort Beverage Manager, leading the development of the program for the whole property.
