...Before landing in Brooklyn...
Bar Convent Berlin was founded in 2007 by the bar and beverage experts Helmut Adam, Jens Hasenbein and Bastian Heuser. Since its inception, Bar Convent Berlin has grown into one of the leading international trade fairs for the bar and beverage industry. Each year the “Who’s Who” of this industry’s German and European representatives gather in Berlin to make new contacts, find out about new product innovations and attend seminars to deepen their expertise. This year they came from five continents: visitors from Australia, Canada, Japan, India and even from Panama, Peru and Mauritius once again turned the Bar Convent Berlin into the largest trade show of the bar and spirits industry, the place for manufacturers of spirits, sparkling wines, mixers, beers and coffee to get together with bartenders, bar owners and distributors from 79 countries. From 8 to 10 October 2018, a total of 14,416 visitors were guests at “the Station Berlin” and the neighboring “Kühlhaus” and also flocked to numerous bar events in the capital city. The signs are pointing to growth and the Station Berlin was again fully booked for BCB 2018. This year's Bar Convent Berlin featured 433 exhibitors with more than 1,200 brands in the premium segment. Gin, liqueur, rum, vodka, tequila and mezcal once again led the list of top spirits. Vermouth made a leap up with over 30 brands at the fair. A recipe for success that is to be further expanded internationally. After the first Bar Convent Brooklyn, the first Bar Convent Sao Paulo follows in 2019.Bar Convent Brooklyn (BCB) is a welcoming and collaborative environment in which the pioneers of the bar and beverage community gather to celebrate and sculpt the future of liquid culture through education, sharing best practices, and generating business opportunities. It is a curation of the most premium brands driving the cocktail movement.
